Drama Week Celebrations Light Up First School Library!

Our First School Library was filled with imaginative energy last week as we celebrated Drama Enrichment Week! Young storytellers brought their creative spirits to life through a delightful puppet-making activity that had everyone excited to share their stories.

Puppet Making Magic

Students designed and colored their own finger puppets, transforming simple materials into unique characters. Each puppet reflected its creator’s personality – we saw everything from brave knights to silly monsters, and even a few surprise appearances from favorite book characters!

Stories Come Alive

The real magic happened when students used their puppets to perform short plays. Working together in small groups, they created original stories that had us all captivated. It was wonderful to see how naturally our students embraced one of our key learning habits – Creativity.

Learning Through Play

This activity showed how storytelling helps students:

  • Build confidence in public speaking
  • Work together as a team
  • Use their imagination
  • Practice narrative skills
Join the Fun

Parents, ask your children about their puppet characters and the stories they created. We’d love to hear these tales retold at home! And remember, the library is always open for students who want to explore more creative storytelling opportunities.

Well done to all our young dramatists – your creativity and enthusiasm made Drama Enrichment Week truly special!
