Are you ready for a fresh face to guide you through our world of books? At NLCS Jeju, we’re always looking for creative ways to enhance your reading experience. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new library character—a friendly mascot who will represent our book recommendations and be the face of our library activities, including our upcoming recommendations chatbot!

What’s the Story Behind Our New Character?

Every great book has a story, and so does our new mascot! This character is designed to bring creativity, fun and a sense of adventure to our libraries. To bring this idea to life, we commissioned talented Year 10 student Lana Lee to create four unique character designs. Now, it’s up to our students and staff to decide which one best captures the spirit of libraries at NLCS Jeju.

These Are the 4 Characters That Students and Staff Can Choose From

Each of these characters has its own personality and style – we want you to learn more about them before you cast your vote. Read on for a brief introduction to each candidate:

Design A

The Ultimate Recommend List popped alive to recommend your books.

Design B

Don’t call it him, her or they. It memorised every single book in the Library and carries them around in it’s magic bag.

Design C

Once a ghost dwelling in the Return Box – now sarcastically choosing your books.

Design D

A clumsy library girl ready to chat about any book in the NLCS Jeju libraries.
