Our Library Transforms for Diversity Enrichment Week
As NLCS Jeju celebrates Diversity Enrichment Week, our library spaces have transformed into vibrant hubs of cultural exploration and understanding. This week-long celebration brings our community together to recognise and honour the beautiful tapestry of differences that make our school unique.
Special Collections and Interactive Spaces
Neurodiversity Collection

Our reading lounge welcomes the Inclusion Team, who have carefully curated an enlightening collection of fiction and non-fiction works exploring neurodiversity. During breaks and lunch periods, students and staff are invited to engage in meaningful conversations about what makes each of us unique.
Diversity and Inclusion Literature

We’re proud to showcase our expanded diversity and inclusion collection, offering diverse perspectives and stories that reflect our inclusive community values. These carefully selected works provide windows into different experiences and mirrors for self-reflection.
Beyond Cultural Symbols
While our students express cultural appreciation through creative expressions – like handmade accessories inspired by global traditions – our library encourages deeper exploration of cultural understanding. These physical symbols serve as gateways to more meaningful conversations about diversity in our community.
Diversity in Literature: More Than Just Stories
True diversity in literature extends beyond representing different cultures and experiences. It encompasses:
- Multiple perspectives and voices
- Various writing styles and narrative approaches
- Different formats and accessibility options
- Stories told in multiple languages
- Diverse author backgrounds
