Cultural Discovery in Our First School Library
This week, our First School Library transformed into a vibrant European cultural hub, where our youngest learners embarked on an exciting journey of language and cultural discovery. Through interactive activities designed for Reception to Year 2 students, children experienced the joy of learning multiple European languages while developing cultural awareness.
Interactive Learning Stations
Multilingual Photo Booth
Our popular photo booth became the centerpiece of cultural expression, where students practiced greeting each other in various European languages. Complete with props including croissants, crowns, sunglasses, and top hats, young learners absorbed new vocabulary through playful interaction.

Artistic Exploration
Students enhanced their cultural understanding by:
- Coloring famous European landmarks
- Learning about different national flags
- Discovering the significance of symbols from Portugal, Spain, and France
Language Learning Games
To reinforce learning through play, students participated in an engaging matching game, connecting words with their countries of origin. This activity not only built vocabulary but also developed cognitive skills through pattern recognition and memory exercises.

Educational Impact
This celebration of European languages supports our commitment to:
- Early multilingual exposure
